Gradings

A grading tests the students ability, attitude and skill: a successful grading is rewarded with an increased ranking (denoted by the colour of the belt) and is therefore a measure of the students progression towards becoming a dan.

Grading courses take place approximately every 3-4 months. The schedule of gradings can be found here.

A licence / record book is required as an official record of grades taken. This also provides insurance cover for the student and is renewable annually.
